Lanarkshire country pop duo Jubilee will perform a home town date at Motherwell Concert Hall on Saturday 10 December 2022. Their first live show there sold out in 2021.
Couple Justine Wilson and Billy Warren can’t wait to perform to the crowd in their hometown, just weeks before jetting off to Nashville, USA, to sing at several showcase events in front of some major record labels.
It follows on from a hugely successful year for the duo, which saw them record a country pop song, entitled ‘Don’t Make Me Look into Your Eyes’, written by Gary Miller of Orange Mustang Management.
They were then approached by a Scottish independent label to release the single, with it sweeping the charts and going to number one in the official UK Country Charts – it even made the top 50 in the overall charts with virtually no airplay.
They then released their debut album, ‘You and I’, that went to number one again and also number three in the Scottish charts.
What’s more it was top of the pops in all genres of digital download charts, receiving great reviews from respected magazines.
Their second single, ‘Sleeping in a Bed of Lies’, went to number two only denied the top spot by country western legend Keith Urban and Pink with their hit song One to Many.
With such overnight success, Justine and Billy were then delighted to be approached by Kent Wells, musical director for none other than the queen of country Dolly Parton.
Billy told Lanarkshire Live: “During the first lockdown we started performing live on social media, having lost all of our usual performing income due to the pubs and clubs being shut.
“We literally started with around 200 viewers. Very quickly, however, our fanbase was drawing huge figures with around 100,000 accounts logging in to watch from around the world, within 24 hours of broadcasting our gig.
